Have you planned any summer travel this year? With so many great places right here in Florida, you don’t have to travel too far to experience them!

Check out these recommended travel spots to visit and cool off this summer!

Clearwater Beach

Less than hour from Tampa, Clearwater Beach is a great spot for families, couples and friends! With its white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, Clearwater is a vibrant area with many summer activities to enjoy. Sunset Pier 60 offers free nightly events, spectacular sunsets and great fishing!

Crystal River

Known best for swimming with the manatees in winter, Crystal River is an excellent spot to visit all year long. Grab a kayak or just go for a swim in the clearest cyan blue waters of the springs. Surrounded by a 57-acre refuge, it is a haven for nature lovers and wildlife. Downtown Crystal River offers quaint specialty shops, festive bars and restaurants that are nestled into historic family homes.

Devil’s Den Spring

Despite what its name may suggest, this underground escape offers you cool but comfortable waters of 72°F year round. Devil’s Den is a pool inside of a prehistoric cave that boats ancient rock formations dating back 33 million years. Divers and snorkelers can enjoy fantastic views inside crystal clear water. It’s a great place to escape the Florida heat for a short time!

Ichetucknee Springs State Park

With over three miles of river and eight major springs, Ichetucknee Springs State Park is a great place for the entire family and adventure lovers alike. The 2,242-acre Ichetucknee Springs State Park offers magnificent hiking trails, a clear spring-fed swimming hole and picnic areas; however, the true highlight tubing down the river. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking, canoeing, snorkeling and scuba diving at the park.
