New tenants have been emerging since late 2021 including Bungalow Palm Beach Outdoor Living and the popular podcast studio Podpopuli. Most recently, the Seattle-based mega outdoors outfitter, REI opened in May.

The next grand opening is eagerly expected in July when Life Time opens its doors after 2 years of construction, which also includes a 426-space parking garage. The Gardens outlet, dubbed a Life Time Athletic Country Club, is one of 12 planned for the company this year. Last year, Life Time opened a 1.2 million-square-foot Coral Gables development and currently has locations in Tampa and Boca Raton with plans to open in Miami in 2023.

Leading up to its opening, Life Time is offering free Wednesday morning classes including yoga, pickleball and use of the stationary bikes. Virtual walk throughs provided by concierges selling pre-opening memberships feature its 700 lockers, private coffee shop, 25 personal trainers, indoor pickleball courts, an indoor pool and spa plus a rooftop pool with a bar and bistro.

The fitness center will have six second-floor classroom spaces, including studios for yoga, barre and Pilates, and a cycling studio with 50 flywheel bikes. Priding itself on engaging children, its Kids Academy is designed to help them not only with workouts but with homework for up to two-and-a-half hours a day.

Also coming soon to Downtown Palm Beach Gardens will be Subculture Coffee, Marcello Sport and restaurants Parm and Sweetgreen.  For housing, construction already is under way to accommodate a nine-story, 174-room Aloft hotel across from Grimaldi’s; and a 280-unit, eight-story apartment building has been approved for The Cheesecake Factory site.

The landscape Downtown Palm Beach Gardens changes every week, so I encourage you to keep an eye on the new businesses emerging in our local area and take a tour of this fantastic new fitness center right here in Palm Beach Gardens!
