Local Events In October To Enjoy Safely

October 1, 2020

While we are missing some of the great annual events we have come to know and love, there is still a few local happenings you can enjoy safely with family.

OktoberFest –  Although the larger festivals we’ve come to know and love are cancelled this year, some of our favorite local breweries are celebrating in their own ways! DAStoberfast will kick off the month on October 3 starting at 4pm at DAS Beer Garden in downtown Abacoa, the Kelsey City Brewing Company will host their celebration on October 10, and Mathews Brewing Company in Lake Worth follows up for the weekend of Oct 16-17. And that’s just a small tasting of our great community breweries!

National Night Out Parade – This annual event celebrates our community and police relationships that create a safer town for us to live in. Starting at 6:00 PM on October 6, the Jupiter Police Department will convoy through our neighborhoods with upwards of 25 vehicles going lights and sirens while handing out giveaways and greeting residents. You can see the scheduled route on the town’s Facebook page and donate a toy to support Little Smiles at several locations in support of this great event!

Spookyville Drive-Thru Fair Eats & Treats – Get the family dressed in their Halloween best costume and enjoy a safe and socially distant drive through trick or treating in Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds! Live entertainment, familiar songs and friendly faces will be seen from your car for a not-so-spooky experience for the whole family! This spook-tacular event starts October 23 and runs through October 31. For more info: http://bit.ly/SFFHalloween2020

Juno Beach Pier Food Trucks –  After what seems to be far too long, the Food Trucks are scheduled to return to Juno Beach Park on Wednesday, October 28 at 3:30pm. Free parking and pet friendly, this monthly event has been tremendously missed by our local community and we’re excited to see it return safely!
