Palm Beach County Is Open – Now What?

June 2, 2020

,

As Palm Beach County started to reopen, many of us are asking: OK, So Now What?

Palm Beach County entered Phase 1 of Reopening on May 11 which allowed many non-essential businesses that have been shut down for months to reopen. It also allowed businesses that were operating on extremely limited restrictions to begin implementing new procedures to help boost their business.

Restaurants and in-store retail shops are allowed to operate at 50% of the building capacity with other restrictions as issued by the CDC and OSHA, such as social distancing guidelines and the use of masks and gloves. Barber shops and cosmetology salons are allowed to open and operate within the mandated guidelines as well.

County officials are also doing their part to protect our residents by preparing for a possible resurgence as we continue reopening. Statistics are constantly being monitored and benchmarks are being developed by the county to flag any resurgences that would be a threat to our community so they can be addressed immediately.

So how do we do our part as residents?

  1. Protect Yourself and Others

It’s important for us to always be following the guidelines given to us by the CDC in efforts to flatten the curve and stop the spread of the virus, especially in public establishments.

  1. Continue Safe & Sanitary Practices

Continue to wash your hands often, sanitize surfaces and practice social distancing when possible.

  1. Support Local Businesses

Now more than ever our local businesses need our support! If you’re not yet comfortable going to public establishment, contact your favorite local stores and ask if they provide alternative options – so many of them do! You can also purchase gift cards to use a later date for yourself or gift to a loved one.

As we adjust to a “new normal,” it is important that we do this in a safe and timely manner. We all have a part to play in this situation and every bit helps!

If there is something that I can do to help you during these times, please do not hesitate to reach out.  As your local Realtor, I have many contacts in my network that be beneficial to you and I am happy to share them with you!
