West Palm Beach Summer Boat Show – Summer is just a few weeks away and it’s not too late to get yourself into a new boat for the hot days ahead! New and used boats will be displayed at the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center June 25-27 in West Palm Beach. It’s a great opportunity to expand your recreational activities this coming summer with your family and friends. The event will finish off on the final day with an auction expected to showcase more than 200 boats on the block with a special preview the day before. Cruise In Car Show – Check out some of the top collectible classic cars as you stroll Town Center Drive in Downtown Abacoa.  This free family-friendly usually happens on the first Saturday of each month in Jupiter but will be held Saturday, June 12 this month due to the Memorial holiday prior. Starting at 4pm, visitors can take in the neighborly surrounds of Abacoa including great restaurants, shops and more! It’s a great way to spend a Saturday evening with friends and family!

 

Guided Turtle Walks – Take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn about, and potentially observe, the nesting and egg-laying process of our local sea turtles.  During the months of June and July only, you can schedule a tour Tues-Saturday with Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff starting at 9pm.  Their scouts will patrol Juno Beach searching for sea turtles while you enjoy an after-hours experience to meet the current patients at the Marinelife Center! Once a sea turtle is found and begins her egg-laying process, the group is then led down to the beach to witness this unforgettable experience. Learn more: https://marinelife.org/

 

Local Fishing Tournaments – Two great fishing tournaments for great causes are taking place this month!  The ARC of Martin County 7th Annual ARC KDW Offshore Fishing Tournament invites anglers of all ages on Saturday, June 19th in Port Salerno. It’s the perfect celebration for Father’s Day weekend while benefitting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition to Kingfish, Dolphin and Wahoo, newly added categories of Grouper and Snapper ensure diversity for anglers of all types!  The AustinBlu Land and Sea Fishing Tournament on will take place Saturday, June 26th from the River Center in Jupiter. This family-friendly tournament aims to support the education and outreach efforts of the foundation, which is dedicated to teaching people about the importance of safety on the water. Prizes for sheepshead, Crevalle Jack, any Snapper species and Checkered Puffer will be awarded.
